SUMMARY:CSIME Participates in ‘Faith and Reason in the Abrahamic Religions
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Seminars and workshops on “Faith and Reason in the Abrahamic Religions Distinguished religious scholars have joined CSIME for series of seminars and workshops on “Faith and Reason in the Abrahamic Religions” during Spring of 2011. The Center is hosting the groups\, with the support of the Interdisciplinary Program in Law & Religion of The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law and The Protection Project of The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). The workshop explores the ways in which the concepts of “faith” and “reason” are defined\, understood\, and interpreted in the three Abrahamic faiths. The goal of the seminar is to create and sustain ongoing collaborative relationships among the participants. CSIME has arranged for the participants to visit the Library of the Congress\, universities\, religious and cultural centers\, and other places of interest in the Washington\, D.C. area\, and to learn more about the ways in which Americans find inspiration and mutual support through inter-religious and cross-cultural cooperative ventures. The trip includes four days in Chicago\, where participants have met members and leaders of the largest Muslim community in the United States and learn from them\, and from Christian and Jewish leaders in Southeastern Chicago\, how interfaith cooperation works in America’s heartland. Our guests have also spent three days in New York City\, where they have seen the City\, visited the United Nations\, and explored many ways in which Jewish\, Christian\, and Muslim religious leaders foster peace and the promotion of human rights\, both locally and through their work in international organizations. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]\nDownload WordPress Themes FreeDownload Best WordPress Themes Free DownloadDownload Best WordPress Themes Free DownloadDownload WordPress Themesonline free coursedownload intex firmwareDownload WordPress Themes Freefree download udemy course
