CSIME board member and senior advisor, Mr. David Laylin, participated in a symposium Sept 7th, organized by the Washington think tank, the Atlantic Council. The subject was the disappearing Hamoun wetlands of Sistan, Iran and the need for technical and financial assistance from the World Bank. The documentary film, Once a Hamoun, directed by the well-known film maker, Mohammad Ehsani, was shown. David Laylin was instrumental in getting this film made, approved and shown. He also participated in the panel discussion.
